To the best of my knowledge, there is not much very close. At Hillsboro Inlet, you can beach or anchor next to the lighthouse or across the channel. Both are areas are relatively well protected and you have beach access. Also, at John Lloyd state park, you can anchor up to the ICW side and then use the beach.
Another option is at the mouth of the New River where there is a shallow spot across from Bahia Mar. Lake Boca is also worth the trip. There is a small sandbar to the North of the 17th Street Causeway. Lastly, don't forget about the Haulover Inlet.
Your best options are, Hillsboro inlet, Lake Boca and what I think is the best sandbar is the area just inside of Haulover inlet. If you go down to Haulover you can also beach your boat at Beer Can Island, just west of the Haulover sandbar.
